It's amazing how I always seem to find a sample that speaks to exactly what is going on in my life. It's like some cosmic "Law of Attraction" when digging for vinyl. I picked this up just after leaving the apartment an ex and I were sharing. I dropped by hesitantly to grab a few last items I still had over there. She was there and it wasn't easy. The words in the intro to the beat were pretty much exactly what she had said to me. When I listened to the record I couldn't believe what was hearing, so I knew I had to flip it. It was also fitting that the sample came from my hometown Providence's own R&B legend Jeffrey Osbourne.
